Who we are
Blume Summer Camp is run by Blume Summer Camp Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17449974), registered office Granville Hall, Granville Road, Leicester LE1 7RU. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Questions about your data: hello@blumesummer.camp.
What we collect
- When you join our presale list: first name, email address and postcode.
- When you buy tickets: name, email, phone, billing details, ticket type, and details of the people in your booking (including children's names and ages where needed for age-banded tickets or safeguarding).
- When you attend: information needed to keep people safe on site, such as emergency contacts, accessibility needs you choose to tell us, or incident records. Also photos or video taken at the event, which may include you or members of your booking.
- When you contact us: your message and contact details.
- When you browse our website: device and usage data through cookies and similar technology, where you've agreed (see our Cookie Policy).
- When you interact with us on social media: whatever the platform shares with us, such as your handle and messages.
We don't need card details. Payments are handled by our ticketing partner and their payment provider, and we never see your full card number.
How we use it, and our legal basis
- Selling and delivering your tickets, managing entry, refunds and changes: contract.
- Running a safe event, including safeguarding children and handling incidents: legitimate interests; legal obligation; vital interests in an emergency.
- Using accessibility or health information you give us to support you on site: your explicit consent.
- Emailing presale sign-ups about ticket access, news, line-up and future Blume events: consent.
- Sending news about our own similar events to ticket buyers who didn't opt out: legitimate interests (the "soft opt-in").
- Measuring website use and the performance of our ads (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel): consent, given through our cookie banner.
- Showing ads to people who've visited our site, or people like them: consent.
- Answering your questions: legitimate interests.
- Keeping financial records: legal obligation.
- Taking and using event photography and video to document and promote Blume: legitimate interests for general event and crowd imagery; consent where we specifically ask you or your child to take part in planned or featured content.
Children
Blume Summer Camp is a family event, so bookings may include children. We only collect children's details from the adult making the booking, and only what we need to issue the right tickets and keep everyone safe. We don't market to children. Our presale list is for adults (18+).
You do not have to give us health or accessibility information. If you choose to share it, we will use it only to help support you or someone in your booking at the event.
Photography and video
We may take photographs and video at Blume Summer Camp to document the event and promote future Blume events. This may include general crowd, activity and atmosphere shots. Where we specifically ask an adult or child to take part in planned or featured content, we will ask for appropriate permission. If you have concerns about photography or filming of you or a child in your care, please speak to our team at the event or email hello@blumesummer.camp.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with people who help us run Blume, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Easol, our website and ticketing platform, which collects booking data on our behalf
- Kit, which sends our emails
- Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), to understand how our website is used
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure and run our ads
- Crow, our marketing agency, which manages our ads and analytics
- Event suppliers such as security, medical and site operators, where needed on site
- Our professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it
We will never share your details with sponsors or partners for their own marketing unless you've clearly said yes.
International transfers
Some partners, including Google and Meta, process data outside the UK, mainly in the US. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK-US Data Bridge) or the UK's approved contract clauses to keep your data protected.
How long we keep it
- Presale and mailing list: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we don't email you again.
- Booking and financial records: 6 years after the event, for tax and accounting.
- Safety and incident records: as long as needed for any claim or legal requirement.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Enquiries: up to 2 years.
- Event photography and video: for as long as reasonably needed for editorial, archival and promotional purposes, unless you successfully object or consent is withdrawn where consent applies.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it, including any marketing
- move it to another provider
- withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect what we did before)
Email hello@blumesummer.camp. We'll reply within one month.
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and change cookie choices through the cookie settings link in our footer.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it secure
We use reputable platforms, limit who can access personal data, and use two-factor authentication on our accounts.
